Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you use JAYAZA, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can control it.

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Template pending legal review. This policy is a working draft for launch preparation. Every field shown in [BRACKETS] must be completed, and the whole document reviewed by a qualified Bangladeshi legal advisor, before it is relied upon.

1. Who we are

JAYAZA is operated by [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], trade licence [TRADE LICENCE NUMBER], registered at [FULL REGISTERED ADDRESS], Bangladesh. In this policy “we” and “JAYAZA” mean that company, and we are the data controller for the information described here.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us.

  • Account details — your name, mobile number and, where provided, email address.
  • Delivery details — recipient name, address, division and postcode.
  • Order details — items, quantities, prices and any note you add.
  • Partner verification — for sellers, riders, wholesale buyers and affiliates: business name, NID, trade licence, TIN, vehicle and payout details, and the documents you upload to support them.
  • Communications — messages you send us about an order or a complaint.

Information collected automatically.

  • Device and connection information, including IP address, used to rate-limit one-time passwords and detect abuse.
  • A session cookie that keeps you signed in.
  • A referral cookie recording which affiliate link brought you to the site, so commission can be attributed correctly.

We do not store your full card number, CVV or mobile-wallet PIN. Payments are processed by our payment partner, and only a transaction reference and status are returned to us.

3. Why we use it

  • To create your account and verify your mobile number by one-time password.
  • To process, deliver and support your orders and service bookings.
  • To verify partner applications and meet our record-keeping obligations.
  • To calculate seller settlements and affiliate commissions.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.
  • To send transactional messages about your orders. Marketing messages are sent only where you have opted in, and you may opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, and never sell your personal information.

  • Sellers — the delivery name, address and contact number needed to fulfil an order you placed with them.
  • Delivery partners and riders — the delivery details and, for cash on delivery, the amount to collect.
  • Payment providers — the transaction data required to take and reconcile a payment.
  • SMS and email providers — your mobile number or email address, to deliver a message you have asked for.
  • Cloud hosting and media storage providers who run the platform on our behalf.
  • Authorities and regulators, where we are legally required to disclose information.

5. Verification documents

NID, trade licence and TIN documents uploaded by partners are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. They can be retrieved only by the person who uploaded them and by authorised JAYAZA administrators, and are used solely to verify eligibility.

6. How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records — [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 6 years] to meet tax and accounting requirements.
  • Account information — for as long as your account is open, and [RETENTION PERIOD] after closure.
  • Verification documents — for as long as the partner relationship lasts, and [RETENTION PERIOD] after it ends.
  • One-time password records — minutes, then deleted.

7. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. One-time passwords are stored hashed, expire after a few minutes, and are limited by attempt and by rate. Traffic is served over HTTPS. Access to administrative tools is restricted by role and checked on every request. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep these measures current.

8. Your choices

  • View and update your details from My Account.
  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your account, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Opt out of marketing messages without affecting transactional order updates.

To make any of these requests, contact us using the details on the Contact & Complaints page.

9. Children

JAYAZA is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The revision date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and we will notify you of significant changes.
